The firm was established in 1951 by William Henry Catchpole who, at the time was a site director for a national contractor in the London area. After moving into Wayland Avenue Brighton, the firm speedily became founded as one of the town's most reputable building contractors. The main key to success was the individual attention and supervision offered by the working Managing Director. This ensured that quality of workmanship became the firm's trademark.
